Planning and Codes Enacts New Building Permit and Fee Schedule

Planning and Codes Enacts New Building Permit and Fee Schedule

Effective January 1 2018

On January 1st, 2018, the Planning and Codes Administration will be enacting a single building permit application.  This single application will cover all permitted work.  It will no longer be necessary for subs, such as Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc., to pull their individual permits.  The Building Permit will cover all work being done at this project.  It will be necessary to continue to apply for a Grading permit.  The subcontractor license requirements will be verified by the City of Clemson Sub Sheet that will be sent in prior to inspections being scheduled.

With the enacting of this new permit application, there is also a new fee schedule.  The fees have been adjusted to maintain the same level of revenue that the multiple permit applications did.

Planning and Codes will also be initiating new or adjusted fees for Short Term Rental property, Minor and Major Subdivision review, Rezoning Applications, Board and Commission Applications, Zoning Compliance Letters and Plat Work.
