5. Reports/Discussion Agenda:
a. Receive a report from representatives of Pacolet-Milliken Enterprises and Mayor Cook regarding a joint venture for an economic development initiative involving the City of Clemson – Mayor J. C. Cook, III.
b. Receive the results of the Community Survey that was conducted as part of the process of drafting the new Comprehensive Plan – Ms. Jennifer Folz, City Planner.
c. Item Request – Receive a report from the Building Official regarding the ISO Building Code Enforcement Evaluation Report – Mr. Ben Collins, Building Official.
d. Receive a report from the Planning & Codes staff regarding the rewrite of the City Zoning Ordinance – Ms. Sharon Richardson, Planning & Codes Director.
e. Consider setting dates and times for City Council Budget Work Sessions to be held during the month of May – Mayor J.C. Cook, III.
f. Staff and Council Reports.
6. Policy/Action Agenda:
a. Item Request – Consider a Resolution that would request the Pickens County Registration and Election Commission to place a referendum on the next General Election ballot (November 4, 2014) to allow the voters to consider authorization of Sunday alcohol beverage sales for consumption-on-premises sales. (Fact Sheet) – City Council.
b. Item Request – Consider a Memorandum of Agreement between Clemson University, acting through the Joseph F. Sullivan Center, and the City of Clemson for Specified Health Services: Scheduled Access to Acute Care – Mr. Rick Cotton, City Administrator.
d. Consider displaying a banner at the flag plaza for the May 17th Clemson Festival of Arts event – Mr. Andy Blondeau, Assistant City Administrator.
e. Item Request – Consider setting a date for a Public Hearing on a Request by the Baptist Student Center to amend the City Zoning Ordinance by adding a Caretaker’s Apartment as a Conditional Use in the RLC, Residential Limited Commercial District for religious, civic, and similar organizations – Ms. Sharon Richardson, Planning & Codes Director.
