Sub Station Approved
Clemson City Council approved plans for a new fire sub-station at the September 6, 2016 Council meeting. The station will be the second in Clemson to be jointly operated by the City of Clemson and Clemson University. The new facility will be constructed along Issaqueena Trail on a 9 acre site adjacent to Trinity Wesleyan Church.
The sub-station will have 3 bays, multiple sleep stations, a kitchen and day room, a fitness room, equipment rooms and storage areas, multiple offices and will house the new Community Room/training room, which will seat 72 people. The building will be made of masonry, hardy board, and steel materials in an effort to be structurally sound, esthetically pleasing, and cost efficient. Construction is scheduled to begin late fall 2016.
